Independent Living Services (ILS) provides high-quality community based care services across Scotland, our staff are dedicated to supporting individuals to live as independently as possible.
Headquartered in central Scotland and with offices across Scotland, ILS has worked within local communities for over 10 years helping to make a real difference to people’s lives. We provide care to over 2,000 Service Users every day and have a devoted staff of 1,200 people who operate to the highest possible standards. Offering a person-centred approach ILS provides a range of support services depending upon an individual’s needs with care provided for Children & Families, Adults with support needs, Care for Older People, and in addition, through Nurseplus Healthcare Services, we provide nationwide specialist healthcare services to patients at home or in their local community across a wide range of therapies often following serious injury or progressive neurological conditions.
ILS work in partnership with Local Authorities across Scotland as well as engaging with Health Boards to deliver community services and support Hospital to Home programmes. We can offer services directly to clients through self-directed support and direct payment schemes. ILS also provides services privately to individuals who are looking for direct care and/or top up of services.
ILS works very closely with The Care Commission and supports the personalisation of care. ILS has elected ISO 9001:2008 as its key quality assurance system and also has Investors in People and Chartermark accreditation.
Our focus on quality has been recognised in the market and we were the winner of the Overall Provider of the Year Award at the 2009 Scottish Care Awards.
